         ENTITY PROFILE
         The Railway Engineering  Research Group is a part of the Institute  of  Transport and
         Territory from the Technical University of Valencia, Spain. The Research Group combines
         the  required  technical  and  scientifi c  knowledge  in  Railway  Engineering  with  a  wide
         experience  in the design,  construction  and operation  of railway  infrastructures  and
         facilities, emphasising its ability and know-how on the design, construction and operation
         procedures related to the current problems of railway systems.

                       AUREVA. Design, construction and homologation of a new topographic
                       system for railway track surveying and constructing. Ongoing.
                       Strategies for the energy-effi cent design and operation of railway and
                       tramway infrastructures. Ongoing.
                       Modelling and analysis of vibration attenuation elements in railway tracks.
                       Ongoing.
                       MANIOBRA. Predictive railway maintenance based on the analysis of track
                       gemetrical parameters.
                       Study on Under Sleeper Pads.


                       Numerical analysis of the transition wedges constructed between Valencia
                       and Xátiva in the Madrid-Comunidad Valenciana High Speed Line.
                       Analysis and investigation of the railway accident occured in line 1 of Valencia
                       underground on July 3rd 2006.
