DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

On-track functional performance tests for the measurement of the dynamic
interaction between pantograph and overhead contact line. These
measurements are intended to prove the safety of operation and the quality
of the current collection system.

Homologation tests accredited according to international standards as well
as specific tests for R&D purposes, design modification and optimization as
well as root cause failure analyses.

STATIC AND DYNAMIC TESTS
Static and dynamic test according to EN 50317, EN 50367 and TSI, for the measurement of:
- Contact forces (see below: Instrumented pantograph).
- Uplift at the support.
- Pantograph arcing.

INSTRUMENTED PANTOGRAPH
The interaction with the overhead line or catenary and the pantograph is the key interface between the electric vehicle
and superstructure (according to EN50317, EN50367 and TSI). CETEST has developed a proprietary instrumentation
system able to accurately measure contact forces proven up to speeds above 350 km/h.
Some of its main technical characteristics:
- Adaptable to any pantograph design and geometry.
- Measurements for DC and AC overhead lines.
- Both wired and wireless solutions available.
- Calibration using advanced control actuation.
